Marsel Hopped Out at 2nd Round

Marsel lost to Troicki in two sets with scores of 6-3. He seems to get more break opportunities but he broke once as Troicki broke him 4 times. Stats are;

In this tournament he faced some physical problems. Cramps and stuff like that. It was important for him to save his 41 points and he managed that.

Russell says that he changed his schedule a little bit. He is skipping Barletta challenger and will have an extra week before Monza challenger. If he can win 4 matches there that would lead him to main draw of Roland Garros.

Marsel Gives Us Hope in Wells

Yes dear Marsel lovers,

As you know Marsel is warming up for 2011. So today he faced a guy, who had won 2 titles this year and went to final in another tournament; Milos Raonic.

That guy with killer serves, was serving with %50 today but Marsel had difficulty in shaking of his rust. In the fist set, he got 3 points from his opponents serve. Set score was 6-2. In the second serve, he has his serve broken in 3rd game, just like the first set, but then he started to work things out a little bit. By the way, unfortunately he missed 2 break points. But he was resistant on his own serve and he had Raonic to serve for the match on 4-5. And right on this point he broke serve, which is a sign of one of his characteristics that is our favorite; he never gives up. He hold his serve and took second set to a tie-break game.

In tie-break, he gave two unlucky mini-breaks. Even if he took one of those back, this wasn't enough for him to take the set which he lost with a close score like 7-6(4).

He showed a respected resistance against an opponent that was on form and motivated. Now we are waiting for his next tournament impatiently.

2011 is just starting for us!
