Marsel continues his run at Monza

Marsel just beats Romania's Victor Crivoi in straight sets at the second round of Monza Challenger (6-2 7-6). His quarter final opponent will be Lukasz Kubot or Andreas Beck. Both of them were top 100 players, but now they're out of top 100 because of injury and form issues. So, they want to get their form and top 100 spots back and both will be tough and dangerous opponents for Marsel.

We watched this match by the agency of live stream. Marsel breaks Crivoi's serve early in the first set. But Crivoi got break back quickly. Marsel breaks him once again and this time he holds his service game easily and got up 4-1 in the first. End of the set, Marsel, who continued playing and serving very well, got another break mostly due to Crivoi's unforced errors. (6-2)

Marsel saved a break point in the opening game of the second set and got break up again, 3-1. Just like the first set, he got broken back quickly. Later of that set, while Crivoi holding easily on his service games, Marsel was always in the trouble. He saved two break points at 5-5, then played a good tiebreak to snatch the match (7-4).

Marsel played better in this match. Especially, he was playing very limited unforced errors, was making good returns and was serving very well until the middle of the second set. If he plays final in here, probably he'll get direct main draw spot for Roland Garros. We needs another two matches. Come on Marsel!
